Janna and Jay's Wedding, May 1, 2010 the Phoenix Room, Newburyport, MA

Janna and Jay made an excellent selection by choosing the Phoenix Room in Newburyport for their ceremony and reception.  The Phoenix Room has a number of advantages of other venues.  It is within walking distance of a great hotel - The Garrison Inn and many B and B's like the Compass Rose Inn.  So your guests can stay right down the street and walk to your wedding through our wonderful, historic town.  It is also within walking distance of many great spots for family, wedding party and couple photos.  You could also have your rehearsal dinner right in town, so your guests wouldn't have to worry about driving home - or the hassle of parking.  The Phoenix Room offers a historic setting with large windows for available light photography and classic detail that surpasses the typical generic modern ballroom.  The Phoenix Room also has the definite advantage in that Harborside Catering provides the food for all of the events.  Harborside Catering is phenomenal.  They offer innovative and flexible catering options with excellent presentation and a super friendly, professional staff.  I look forward to working with them every time!  Their seafood is the best!

Liz and Matt's Wedding at the Boston Harbor Hotel

Liz and Matt had a great wedding at the Boston Harbor Hotel.  They are a super smart, fun couple who wanted to really enjoy their day and not spend a lot of time on formals - they wanted to be in the cocktail hour and enjoy their guests - imagine that!  We were able to do all of their formals in about 15 minutes and got them back to the hotel in plenty of time.  I just loved the whole day and how much fun they had. Check out the different styles we used - motion, fisheye, short depth of field, and the cool edges we put on some of the detail shots.
